Therapist Overview

I began working with at-risk adolescents and families at a residential treatment program run by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department. Now, through the use of play therapy and many other techniques I treat children who have been exposed to domestic violence, divorce, traumatic events as well as children experiencing behavioral issues at home or at school. I also regularly treat children who experience anxiety, fear, and act impulsively. I support parents by strengthening their parenting skills and having them actively participate in the therapy process. I’m currently available to see clients at home and school. I am passionate about working with children and families in the community who have experienced trauma. I’ve had the opportunity to focus on serving children age 0-12 throughout the community to create a trauma-informed, ACES-aware community that serves our most vulnerable children and families. My training includes play therapy, art therapy, CBT, and TF-CBT. Many parents struggle with supporting their child who may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, or social issues. Children haven’t developed the ability to communicate about their feelings, struggles, and experiences using adult language. A child’s language is toys and through play is how a therapist listens. Home visits open to northern/central PB county.
