Danielle DeFrancesco

Danielle has dedicated her time to improving the mental health of persons of all ages and from all backgrounds. She has a passion for working with children (+1.5y) and families, and specializes in treating complex childhood trauma and emotional and behavioral disorders. She also specializes in treating drug and alcohol addiction. Danielle believes in the power of advocacy and empathic listening as tools for change in the form of empowerment, self sufficiency, and self esteem. She combines evidenced based practices with creativity and holistic wellness, to create an environment conducive to meeting the unique needs of her clients. She is adept in employing an extensive range of treatment modalities based on client need. She has significant clinical experience conducting Play and Sand Tray Therapy, and frequently integrates Person Centered and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) interventions into her work with adults. She also enjoys integrating yoga and mindfulness-based interventions. With unconditional support and strength from their counselor, Danielle believes that anyone is capable of developing insight to enhance their personal growth as a physical, emotional, and spiritual being.
