Positive Psychology focuses on the positive influences in the client’s life, such as institutions, optimistic emotions, and character strengths.

Positive Psychology therapists believe that emotional and mental factors lead to happiness, so they help clients identify happiness from moment to moment.

Positive Psychology utilizes positive emotion, engagement, and meaning to enhance the client’s life. The therapist will ask the client to maintain a journal of positive experiences each day in detail. Keeping a gratitude journal helps rewire the brain, offsetting ruminations of negativity. The client becomes more attentive to their expectations and memories of events, creating a more balanced perspective.

COVID-19 UPDATE: I believe 80% of life is not about what happens to us, but instead is more about how we respond to it. Hence, it is not our problems that need the most help, but instead our solutions to those problems. As a Behaviorist, I see "fear" of “something” as what drives our behaviors in life, i.e. fear in life demands control of life using a previously learned response. It is that...
In therapy, we may explore the past or make plans for the future, but the most important moments are those in which we discover the potential that lies within us. What matters most in therapy is the confidential, non-judgmental, compassionate relationship between my clients and I that gives way to insights, realizations, and transformations. I utilize a combination of therapeutic,...
