Life coaching is different than mental health counseling in critical ways, but both types of specialists offer benefits. Life coaches typically can’t diagnose and provide treatment plans for mental health disorders. Counselors and therapists do. Life coaches help people establish goals, find motivation, and achieve those goals. Their focus isn’t on mental health. A life coach uses motivational techniques to help someone accomplish goals that are unique to them and their aspirations. A person would go to a life coach for guidance in establishing more meaning in their life.

That tightness in your chest, laying awake in your bed at night thinking about all the things your “should have” done, pacing the room, the worry if “am I good enough,” worrying if you forgot something, constantly thinking people are thinking negative things about you—these are not healthy thoughts and they most likely did not happen overnight. The goal for all my clients is to help alleviate...

Talking to someone who is non judgmental and whose sole purpose is to come...

There are times in life when you feel stuck, sad, angry, or indifferent. In these times, it is helpful to have a non-bias party be a mirror on your journey to becoming the best version of you that you can be. There are also times when clients have identified that familial traditions have held them captive or even hindered their growth. Processing those things will help you to identify the best...
At the moment, I’m full and not accepting new clients. Struggling alone is painful and tends to exacerbate rather than alleviate distressing emotions and other symptoms. It’s unfortunate there is so much conditioning in many environments to hide difficult problems and suffer in silence. Seeking support and breaking that silence takes courage. If you are struggling with a personal issue and...
