Who I Serve

Growing up, we are exposed to many spoken and unspoken messages about our inherent worth, and what it takes to secure love and approval in our families and cultures. These self-beliefs, often unconscious to us, manifest in our nonverbal body language: the way we walk, talk, and own space in the world. As a trauma-informed somatic therapist, we explore how our experiences both affect and are affected by our bodies. For instance, the belief "I'm not good enough" may manifest as a slumped posture, nervous tension, or in another unique way that simultaneously reinforces such belief. Although the body holds onto trauma until we're ready to process and release it, our instincts for survival and connection mean that the body is also an amazing resource for tapping into our inner resilience. Through EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, & Internal Family Systems, I help clients heal from the past, find their voice, and live a more embodied life
