My background is in school counseling and grief work. For more than 30 years, I have worked with children in schools, advocating for them to be successful. My ability to understand and navigate the school system enables me to work hand-in-hand with children, parents, teachers and school counselors. In January, 2019 the Association of Death Education and Counseling awarded me the distinction of being a Fellow in Thanatology (FT) for my 14 years of work with children and families who are grieving the death of a loved one.
