Therapist Overview
**Not Currently Accepting Clients** I’m a Gay Clinical Social Worker who primarily works with the TBLGQ population. I utilize an existential approach that is descriptively focused. I believe that through reflection and disclosure clients can learn more about themselves, their relationships, and lived experience in order to make the change they seek in their lives. I primarily work with college students and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I utilize techniques from a variety of different evidence based therapies such as Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Therapy. I find that such techniques can be useful when there is a shared understanding between client and therapist about the client’s experience. In a therapeutic relationship that is built on exploration, bravery, and trust, I join with clients in building new relationships with the world, self, and others so that suffering can be experienced in ways which foster greater resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
