You want to talk about your loss but no one seems to get it. You’ve heard all the cliches, “they’re in a better place,” “everything happens for a reason,” and even the inconceivable like “move on.” But what about your pain? Emotions like anger and irritability? Your loss of normalcy, motivation, or your identity? You want to be seen, heard and understood, but don’t know how to express that to others. Grief is a normal, healthy reaction to loss, and is experienced in so many ways! I specialize in grief counseling, and will hold a safe space for all aspects of your grief. I work with kids, teens and adults to navigate life after loss. We will start by learning about each other, discuss your goals and experiences you’ve had in life and in grief. I will support you in your processing, assess coping strategies, and help as a collaborative guide. And as a former theatre kid, we will also have some laughter and sarcasm in our discussions (grief counseling isn’t solely serious business!).
