A psychologist has a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in psychology. After graduate school, they complete a multi-year internship. They do not have medical degrees. So, although they can treat mental health disorders, they cannot perform medical procedures or prescribe medications. As a result, they typically work with a psychiatrist or other medical doctor.

If you’re looking for a psychologist you can use our vetted directory of mental health professionals to find psychologists in your area. Start your journey below.

Life demands so much from us on a daily basis. Our bosses want more of our time, our partners are slow to show love but quick to start an argument, and our families always seem to ask for more. Therapy is your space to escape from these demands, to take a breath and realign with who you truly are. I am passionate about helping clients illuminate ways they may enhance their relationships, embrac...
“What’s the problem?” rather than “Who’s the problem?” or “Who’s at fault?” is the focus of the therapy process I use with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. It is not always easy to accept that what you’re doing to improve things for yourself and/or for others is not working, which in turn can often make it difficult to seek help. If you’re ready to work at trying a different...
