Therapist Overview
Do school assignments cause emotional distress? Multisensory Structured Language Therapy for Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and related disorders reduces frustration and anxiety while enabling age-appropriate independence in reading and writing. A professional Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), I provide the Orton-Gillingham based Multisensory Structured Language Therapy for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or related conditions. Reading for accuracy, with fluency and comprehension, is integrated with writing (handwriting, spelling, grammar & mechanics, composition). Dyslexic learners, often as early as ages 5-6, are painfully aware that they “don’t get it,” when they try to read and write. Untreated, dyslexia worsens. Schools are not able to provide the consecutive months of skilled, intensive, one-to-one therapy which enables life-long independence. Effective therapy is an investment with a lifetime of dividends!
