Therapist Overview
Life can be stressful; how you handle it directly relates to your health. Health Psychology recognizes the interplay between body, mind and spirit. This holistic approach gets results. When the system is over-stressed, something has got to give. Our ability to think and problem solve is impacted; we get cranky and irritable. The body rebels, gets sick and tells us to slow down. Where to start? Begin with breath; we can’t live without it. Deep circular breathing calms the mind and makes it more efficient. Calming the internal chatter amplifies choices. The body heals, relationships improve: we smile more! We all have the internal resources necessary to live happier and healthier lives. My role is to help you access these resources, respond differently and build resilience. People are multidimensional. Problem solving and creative thinking help you gain a different perspective and connect with your desire to heal. As confidence builds, symptoms diminish. Since the mid 1990’s, I have successfully worked with adults, teens and children, both overseas and Stateside. I have been in my Amesbury home office since 2001 – I have a Wheaten Terrier in residence. He likes to help, but if you prefer he not be in the room, that is OK. If interested, Sound Healing and Guided Meditation are incorporated in your therapy.
