Therapist Overview

Early childhood experiences set the foundation for a lifetime of learning, growing, and building relationships, thus shaping mental health and wellbeing. My work with children is to enhance social emotional development and communication. As a trauma-focused therapist with values in attachment theories, I believe relationships can foster healing, repair, and growth. My style is collaborative and strengths based, focused on addressing concerns through practical strategies, mutual trust, and cultural competence. I believe my job is to support building your agency, capacities, and confidence to be the parent and person you strive to be. After working with children and diverse families for over 10 years, I understand the importance of the therapeutic alliance to build skills for caregivers and strength family relationships. I provide individual therapy, play therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and consultations to meet the unique needs of the many different kinds of people I work with. My office is located in vibrant and convenient Downtown Brooklyn, close to public transportation (Borough Hall, Court Street, Jay Street-Metro Tech stations) and garage parking. Please call or email me for a free consultation to talk more about what you’re looking for and how I can support your goals.
