My work includes providing skills training and case management to school age children and adolescents who are struggling with mental health problems like ADHD and those on the Bipolar spectrum. My most rewarding work in the past has been with young people without a male figure in their life, and in that process I have told each of my clients that I am better at asking questions than giving advice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and, as such, have responsibilities to monitor Professional Counselor Interns during their pre-licensing experience. I have been working with children and adolescents for 14 years in a variety of positions including as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with an initial focus on youth in the juvenile justice system. I can arrange group sessions as well and I offer a sliding scale for services provided. I am in private practice which gives me flexibility to meet early or late in the day, and I prefer to meet with children before or after s
