What is psychotherapy, and why would you want to receive it? For me, psychotherapy is communication. It is a means of reflecting you back to yourself in a way that is instructive, enlightening, and healing. If you are experiencing low self-esteem, depression, thoughts of suicide, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, or fearfulness about the future, you could benefit from psychotherapy. My approach is mindfulness-based, in that I believe that mind, body, and spirit are all connected, and healing cannot be broken down into component parts. Sessions focus on self-awareness, combined with “talking story” and understanding more about your history, needs, and feelings. Together, we work toward knowing you at a deeper and deeper level. If you are ready to let go of the heaviness, pain, or anger that prevent you from stepping fully into your own life, then I would love to meet with you and empower you to be your best self, to let go of the past, and to immerse yourself in your own beauty, joy, and inherent worth.
