Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor looking forward to helping you (or a loved one) work through difficulties in life. Everyone experiences struggles and challenges in various ways, and my goal is to help you understand the best ways to cope with stressors. My specialties include working with adults/young-adults who deal with symptoms of mood disorders, depression, anxiety/panic, grief/loss, and ineffective or maladaptive coping skills/behaviors. Therapy involves motivation and a willingness to make changes, and I strive to help clients realize their inner-power to do so through encouragement and motivation. I am best known for my work as a clinician in Partial Hospital for the last 10 years, where my focus was on challenging stigma, teaching coping skills, and building acceptance in asking for help. I incorporate a number of techniques including mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and soultion-focused therapies. Remember that it takes more courage to ask for help, than it does to suffer silently. I will provide you with a safe, supportive, and judgement-free environment where we can focus on your strengths, build self-awareness and find strategies to cope with life’s challenges. I look forward to the opportunity to help you feel empowered and more in control of life
