Therapist Overview
Cultivate kindness & compassion for yourself and others! I believe all individuals are doing the best that they can, in whatever situations in their life and with what they have. I work with a variety of intelligent and motivated individuals who have been disrupted by life transitions or mental health difficulties, including children (6+) to adults, couples, and families. I am trained in systems thinking and influenced by attachment, trauma, and the multiplicity of the mind and internal interactions. I value working together and I approach therapy with a focus on the mind, body, and spirit and work collaboratively with my clients. We will explore the dynamic of self and system to encounter difficult areas of life in order to shift towards healing and growth. I use mindfulness and relaxation skills and techniques from psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and narrative therapy. I value working together and believe that although I may assist in bringing change and healing, the agency of healing comes from yourself. This process is not easy as there will be areas of challenges and traumatic experiences, however, there is relief and peace as together we work towards fostering trust in your own authentic strength and self.
