Therapist Overview

I completed my Masters degree in Counseling from The George Washington University in 2016, and became a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-II). I have experience in addictions counseling, conducting evaluations and assessments, providing group therapy, supervision, couples, and individual counseling. Currently I’m at The George Washington University in the Third year in the Counseling PhD program and i’m expected to finish in 2020. I have provided residential and outpatient counseling services to adults, families, and couples. I use a solutions-focused approach, along with utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapies and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that people are doing the best that they can with the skills they have and need alternative ways of coping and expressing their feelings. I can help understand patterns and discover various ways of healing. I like to take a relational approach and approach every client with genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. My first question is always, “How can I support you?”
