Therapist Overview
For the past 17 years, I have been providing individual and family therapy in home, school, and community. During this time, I have learned the importance of meeting individuals and families where they are, to build a safe and trusting relationship, and to promote healthy change throughout their lives. I work with individuals and families to create a comfortable and open environment to foster change and growth throughout their therapeutic process. I have implemented CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavior Modification, Mindfulness, and Family Systems Theory to work with children, adolescents, & adults with behavioral and emotional difficulties. Some of these difficulties included attention issues (ADHD), emotional regulation, school refusal, depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The focus of my work has been on improving interpersonal communication between family members, addressing social skill deficits and co-parenting, especially during life transitions. I’ve utilized a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to support individuals and families throughout life domains.
