Kelly Flanagan

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Over my clinical career, I have worked with children and adults coping with minor adjustment issues to severe and persistent mental health concerns. I have worked with clients across the spectrum of levels of care, including outpatient, school-based therapy, and in-home therapy. Most recently, I’ve treated clients at the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization level, with a specialized focus on patients with depression and anxiety disorders such as OCD, social anxiety, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. My practice is informed heavily by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on finding balanced and effective behaviors while validating how very difficult that can be! I love to encourage people to get a little more curious about finding the function of their behavior, and to come up with ways to get those goals met in a healthy way. I am highly skilled in using exposure based therapy (ERP) and behavioral activation techniques to address anxiety and problematic avoidance behaviors, and have extensive experience supporting clients with trauma as part of their life story. In addition, I am an approved LPC supervisor, and love to support therapists as they grow in skills and confidence.
