Therapist Overview
During my clinical training at the Maple Counseling Center, I counseled adults, adolescents and couples and co-facilitated two process groups of adults. In my private practice, I’m seeing the same populations. One area of focus going forward will be baby boomers contemplating retirement, transitioning into retirement or second careers. This population is often managing the needs of an elderly parent(s) and simultaneously with adult children. These challenges converge with our own issues of aging, such as mid-life crisis’s and changes in our health and viability. I enjoy working with Baby boomers begin to encounter our own mortality. This maturing population will allow me to facilitate conversations around advance care planning. This focus on end-of-life and ultimately grief/ bereavement counseling, lends itself to establishing a process group, to discuss issues of aging and more meaningful living and dying.
