Therapist Overview
I work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families. However, I additionally work across the age spectrum and throughout the adoption network with adoption-related issues. I see behaviors as communication of unmet needs. As a client-centered therapist, I work to learn where clients have unmet emotional needs, how their family can work to meet those needs, and what barriers there are to that process. I specialize in supporting children and their families experiencing trauma or attachment disruptions. I am nationally certified as an adoption competent therapist (TAC) across the age spectrum. Additionally certified in EMDR, DDP, TheraPlay, and TF-CBT. My formal education is in art and play therapies with children. “Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” -Albert Camus. When we are walking through difficult chapters in our journey, oftentimes we are just wanting to know we are not alone and we are heard and we are cared for. I would be honored to bear witness to your story.
