Many clients seek therapy with hopes to better understand themselves as people and how they relate to others, or because patterns in their lives have grown to become ineffective or dissatisfying. Every client is different and I tailor my approach accordingly. I believe that we are a culmination of our life experiences based upon the various facets of our identity, and how that intersects with the feedback we’ve received and internalized from others. My hope in working with clients is to help them gain insight into their patterns, to collaboratively help them make appropriate changes, and to help them live a life filled with meaning. I commonly see adults with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. I’m passionate about working with people who’ve experienced trauma and PTSD and also love working with LGBTQ+ community. I highly value working through a multicultural lens/framework. I also have much experience working with emerging adults who are in college or graduate school. Therapy is a great opportunity to better make sense of yourself and your world. As a clinician my approach is warm, authentic, and collaborative, but also direct and challenging. I work hard to not only help you understand your experiences, but to observe and intervene where you seem to be getting “stuck.” We will work as a team to help you reach your goals.
