Therapist Overview
I believe that therapy is a mutual relationship, a partnership involving mutual respect and empathetic understanding. Counseling should be more than just a method of solving a problem or achieving a goal – it should provide a way of opening us up to an awareness of ourselves – facilitating personal growth and development of character. I will not presume to know all of the answers and I don’t believe in quick fixes. I promise to work with you side-by-side as you gain new insight and understanding in overcoming past and present events; obtaining knowledge and resources that will equip you in moving forward. We are in this together. My practice focuses around self-image and awareness and how this view can create a strained dynamic in relationships with oneself, with others, and with parts of life (food, health). Through reparative growth and individual understanding, I work with clients aged 12 and older in relationships, family conflict, ED, co-dependency, body image & peer conflict I promise to be in this journey with you, no matter the reason you are seeking therapy, my focus is you – not the problem you are facing. Our collaborative relationship is designed to facilitate changes engaged within you and not forced upon you. Your journey to wellness is your own, organically paved and specific to your needs. Growth awaits you!
