Therapist Overview
During this time of social distancing, I am available to see young adults, high-school students, and parents of younger kiddos via HIPAA-compliant video. This is a time of so much uncertainty and stress with a lot of anxiety and questions. I specialize in seeing young people with anxiety, depression, attention difficulties, and behavioral struggles at home and school. I partner with many young adults as they navigate high academic pressure, dating (especially online,) life transitions, career changes, sexuality and gender exploration, faith/spirituality exploration, anxiety, depression, “perfectionism” and “people-pleasing.” My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, with elements of CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. We’ll partner together to process emotions, problem-solve, and develop new ways of thinking and coping. I aim to truly connect by learning with you and from you and/or your child, while providing tools and strategies to lead to realistic solutions. Real, honest connection is so powerful and is why I do what I do. During these difficult times of social distancing, I’m here to connect with you via secure video chat to problem-solve and to brave whatever storm you’re facing. Please reach out and help me learn about you and how I can help. We’re all in this thing together.
