When the demands of our lives become overwhelming, we can feel trapped and powerless in our suffering. Often, we then seek to avoid or ignore our emotional pain, rather than address it. In my work as a clinical psychologist, I strive to help individuals approach their experiences in a way that reduces suffering and promotes health. With a genuine, compassionate, and collaborative therapy style, I work with adults to reconnect with their values and increase the sense of ease in their lives. My approach is strongly rooted in mindfulness-based therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I treat individuals affected by a range of problems, including depression, anxiety, and stress. I specialize in working with people coping with medical illness, and also offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I provide affirming care to all of my clients and have advanced training in tailoring therapy to the needs of LGBTQIA individuals. My office is located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, close to the Hynes and Copley T stops. I am not in-network with any insurance companies, but am happy to provide documentation if you wish to use out-of-network coverage.
