Clinically, I work from humanistic, positive-value, body-based approach. I cultivate deep empathy for my clients in their present state, I add in breathing and awareness tools to aid in making the present moment more tolerable. We elicit the idea or desire for change within reason, for change may be challenged by trauma. Trauma is an experience that impacts humans in a way that is not digestible, it creates a maladaptive pattern in response to future events or experiences. Trauma can be an individual experience and there are cultural expressions of trauma that affect large communities, such as cycles of poverty and oppression. I can help you to develop a warm, loving relationship with the parts of yourself that may get in the way of the healing and recovery you are interested in. With attention to how pain, loss, and suffering can be held in the body and cultivating compassion and attention, together we can work to move these experiences through and create space for something new. I am ready to meet with you and begin to address your struggles with anxiety, depression, addiction or trauma. We will create a path of recovery and healing together, going at a pace that suits you where you are in this present moment.
