Elyse M. Palumbo

I believe effective psychotherapy is grounded in the relationship between the therapist and client. My style is warm, empathic, and interactive. As a collaborative partner, I am committed to providing a space that can hold past, present and future aspects of your inner world that can be intolerable alone, but in therapy can lead to new life possibilities and new ways of being. As humans, our identity is often layered and complex, and I seek to empower your most authentic self. I’m a licensed psychotherapist and obtained my graduate degree at Columbia University, specializing in mental health. My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and strength based. I have specific interest and experience in body image and eating disorders, loss/transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, chronic illness, and LGBT issues. I form meaningful relationships with my clients and feel truly honored to partake on this journey together.
