I have been in practice for over 45 years and have treated many patients with anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, addictions (both substance and process), issues dealing with grief and loss, couples communications issues. I treat men from the late teens through older adulthood. I use a cognitive behavioral approach. I was trained and certified as a sexual addiction therapist in 2008 by Patrick Carnes, PhD and was a member of the International Institute of Trauma and Addictions Professionals. Many of the men I treat have a history of physical, emotional, sexual abuse which has created significant issues with fear, loneliness, and abandonment. The men I see often come to my practice having been “discovered” by their wives/partners engaging in sexual acting out behavior that has betrayed their relationship.
