Therapist Overview

I am experienced at working with men and teen guys between the ages of 13 and 65 with addictions, unwanted sexual behavior, anger, depression, anxiety, gender identity, and other behavioral/emotional challenges, however, my clients include both men and women. I build on an individualā€™s passions, discovering their skills and strengths, and using those assets to help them overcome obstacles in their lives. Couples can also find themselves in a place where they feel there’s no hope. It is not weakness to seek help. It’s wise. So, when habits turn into addictions, when anger causes rifts, or the days feel overwhelming, give me a call. I have been trained in EMDR (the S.A.F.E. Approach) and work with both men and women with this therapy. EMDR is shown to be effective in treating trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental stressors and have experience in working with those struggling with various addictions. Additionally, I have worked with couples on a variety of relational struggles. As a father of five boys, my interest in working with guys began when I served as director of men at a local church and grew when I interned at a local men’s addiction recovery facility where I counseled guys recovering from various addictions. I have also counseled many couples through rough relational issues.
