Therapist Overview
**I am not accepting new patients at this time.** The journey from adolescence to young adulthood can be stressful and overwhelming for both individuals and their families. Between social pressures, academic expectations, and familial relationships, some people can get trapped in a cycle of negative emotions. I work with teenagers, young adults and their families who are struggling through this exciting time full of changes. I have helped individuals and families build strength and resilience in a number of settings, including schools, mental health clinics and most recently as a pediatric social worker at Mount Sinai Hospital. I tailor my approach to each client, working collaboratively with them to develop goals and outcomes that are achievable with hard work. Drawing from different therapeutic modalities, I work with clients to enhance problem-solving skills, develop healthier interpersonal relationships, and improve their abilities to handle difficult emotions. I have special expertise in working with young people with type 1 diabetes and helping families navigate the unique challenges that come with that diagnosis. Together, let’s work towards helping you and/or your child build skills that will lead them to a healthier future. Finding the right therapist who “clicks” with you is important — please be in touch.
