Dan Martin Hooley

I am gifted in working with children especially those struggling with grief, trauma, parental separations, and anxiety. I believe kids are resilient in dealing with these events if given the opportunity to do so. Children often just need the unencumbered help of an empathetic adult, I offer this through play therapy sessions. I also work with adults in navigating issues such as anger, grief, parenting, anxiety, depression, and trauma. As a counselor that utilizes person-centered and play therapy modalities I believe in creating a safe place that allows clients to explore their world and find solutions that work for them. I have education, training, and relevant life experiences to offer clients as a guide to their definition of healing. I have a varied life experience involved with children and teens through being a parent, coach, youth leader and mentor. I care about the kids in my community and want to be of assistance to them and their caregivers so to have better functioning lives. I have also lived many years as an adult and worked through many of the issues I counsel others for now.
