Debbie, my wife, and I have been married and in ministry for forty five years. We’ve pastored two churches in Chicago and Orlando and moved to the Jacksonville area and opened a private practice in 2014. I’ve learned that listening and caring are tools God can use to powerfully change people’s lives. When folks feel understood and loved unconditionally they become open to understanding and resting in the love and purpose God has for them. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest”(NLT). My calling is to help folks find that rest in the midst of the most trying times in life. Anxiety, guilt, shame, loneliness, depression, abandonment, betrayal. anger, codependency, conflict, addictive behaviors. These are just some of the burdens we carry that can make life so heavy. Many of my clients come for help in their marriages or parenting. Others come to just work on personal struggles, whether from a recent crisis or a lifelong battle. Jesus never promised a life free of pain. In fact he guaranteed that in this life we will have struggles. But he also said he would never leave us on our own. That he would come to us in our hour of need and that we can find purpose and true joy even in the hard times. I would consider it a privilege to walk with you and help in any way I can.
