We are psychotherapists of African ancestry who use principles from history, life’s experiences and clinical training to help impart knowledge, skills, understanding, insight and wisdom to clients in psycho-educational ways that bring clarity to complex issues. During collaborative counseling sessions we help people of African descent from varying ethnicity or national origins to heal and grow by transforming conflict, crises and confusion into opportunities for choice and change. We specialize in culturally sensitive psychotherapy and go beyond cultural competency, focusing instead on wholeness & growth through the prism of cultural relativism. We utilize a variety of treatment modalities – adolescents, adults, married couples & groups – to engage, enrich, encourage, and enlighten clients during collaborative counseling experiences.
