I am a licensed clinical psychologist working primarily with children, adolescents & families utilizing evidence-based approaches. I specialize in treating youth who suffer from ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, as well as childhood anxiety and selective mutism. I have a passion for empowering parents to appropriately manage their children’s challenging behaviors while also improving the parent-child relationship. I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an effective live coaching treatment with caregivers designed for young children (2-7 years) struggling with problem behaviors. For older children with similar challenges, I provide Parent Management Training (PMT), coaching parents in skills that increase their child’s appropriate behavior & decrease problem behavior. Otherwise, I largely use cognitive behavioral therapy with youth, setting specific goals for treatment & working together in establishing skills to attain success. I additionally am committed to collaborating with teachers & other providers (e.g., psychiatrists) to best support children across all settings. Furthermore, I provide Teacher Child Interaction Training (TCIT) in general and special education classrooms, coaching teachers in the use of advanced behavior management strategies.
