Bonnie A Cloukey

I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in the state of Maine at our new group practice, The Counseling Center of New England located in Portland. I have over 20 years of experience that includes providing therapeutic support to individuals living with a chronic or life threatening illness. I have had the honor of working with adults and their families in hospice, helping them navigate through complex and challenging end of life issues. I provide therapy to adolescents and adults suffering from various types of grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT) and strengths-based approaches, as well as, Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy. I practice from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective to embody a holistic approach to wellness. Every individual deserves to tell their unique story as they strive to attain their best life. I believe that current evidenced based practices can bring positive change and hope as we all strive to navigate through life’s unexpected challenges.
