Therapist Overview
Therapy can be very beneficial for individuals willing to have the courage to be vulnerable and open to change. While most people tend to seek therapy after the fact, when things have gone wrong, I also encourage therapy as a means of maintaining wellness. By being proactive, versus reactive, you may find that you’ll experience greater happiness and less stress. If you’ve done your research then you know there are many options for help, which can make it hard to choose; I standby the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship as key to making this work and encourage you not to give up if you don’t feel connected at first. A holistic approach to overall wellness is important to me as well as a deep respect and awareness for multiculturalism. I tend to gravitate toward cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and person centered approaches to my therapy work with others. I do make therapy a collaborative and supportive journey, but will gently challenge you to help you bloom. The act of reaching out can sometimes be the hardest step on your way to healing.
