Therapist Overview
I am a graduate of Rhode Island College School of Social Work. I am a independent Clinical Social Worker and have worked in the field of Family Preservation for over 15 years. This includes focusing on the needs of adoption and foster care across the individual and families life cycle. I have facilitated an Adoptive Parents Support Group for over 10 years and will be continuing this group at Greenwood Psychotherapy & Wellness Center. I have worked with all ages from 3 to adulthood and on an individual basis, family unit or as a couple. I believe in focusing on the challenges and goals identified by the client, including the young ones. Helping a person identify what they need to progress past their challenges and integrate it into ones life is the basic goal of counseling. I have facilitated pre-service training for potential adoptive and foster parents, as well as written home-studies. I enjoy training and have presented at conferences locally, nationally and internationally.
