Teen violence includes physical harm or threats of harm or violence among youth and adolescents. Teen violence can occur in the school setting, in the context of gangs, within a family, or even among peers. Teen violence can lead to trouble with the law, physical injury, and emotional disturbances.
Available Treatment Options
If one or two teens are particularly prone to violence, they may benefit from individual counseling to address any issues that lead to outbursts. Violent teens may also benefit from group counseling or inpatient programs, where they can receive more timely care and treatment for their behavioral issues from therapists and counselors. Treatment may include medication, counseling for aggression, and even mindfulness techniques that help youth cope with stress.

A friend of mine texted me and said "Going to therapy is something I've fought and...
"What I am is good enough, if I would only be it openly". I have centered most of my work on this strength base belief of Carl Rogers. It is so easy to focus on what is not working and what has to be 'fixed' rather than on what is working and what is right in ourselves. Our society, social media, and some of our environments give us the message that we need to be 'better' that we are not 'good...
There are no ideal clients that I am able to describe because all clients are all different. I don't treat one client the same as I treat the next, but all clients need a different treatment but will always receive the same genuine approach. Your goals and treatment goals can only work with the transcribing of the clients needs and the needs of the clients; which are my main focus. My specialty...
