Anorexia is not eating food and a fear of gaining weight. Bulimia is purging foods after having eaten for fear of gaining weight. Both these and other eating disorders are extremely dangerous and have some of the highest morbidity rates of any mental illness.

There are residential or inpatient programs for those experiencing eating disorders to reside in a more controlled environment during their recovery.

Treatment for an eating disorder will address symptoms, medical consequences, and all factors that contribute to or maintain the eating disorder. Typically treatment will be provided by a treatment team and consist of psychotherapy and nutrition counseling while also addressing any co-occurring mental health or medical issues related to the eating disorder.

Real change lies in a person’s willingness to become more of who they are rather than trying to become what they are not. You are not a problem to be solved or fixed. Competent therapy offers no gimmicks, no quick fixes-- what matters is a willingness to explore who you are rather than who you "should" be. I cannot promise quick and easy relief from your suffering. What I can promise is my full...
What in your life is not working for you? What if you could identify it, explore it? change it? How would you be leading the life you seek? There is a gross misconception that therapy is for people who are chronically mentally ill. That is not my philosophy. I believe that anyone can be metaphorically driving their car on the road of life and end up off the road, maybe in a ditch. I believe in...

Hi, my name is Erin! What we believe is our reality. Imagine if we could learn how to rewire our own internal belief system into something that molds exactly what we want our lives to look like. We can do...

Taking time out for yourself is often an overwhelming task. Getting help isn’t easy. I know. I’ve been there. And I know, this is an important step. Sometimes in life we go through painful experiences. We usually try our best to work though that pain alone.
