Developmental disorders describe a wide range of conditions such as learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, and Cerebral Palsy. Occupational, speech, and language therapies and motor skills training can be helpful for children with these concerns.

Counseling interventions often include the parents or entire family to work on integrating activities, skills, and techniques that work to help the child function more efficiently. Parents may require more intensive counseling to deal with the potential difficulties of raising a differently-abled child.
