Counseling interventions for people with ADHD include developing self-esteem, as peer-to-peer relationships may suffer from trouble paying attention. It also includes conflict resolution, easing frustrations from peers, parents, and teachers that may arise due to inattention. And, finally, motivation to increase a child or adult’s confidence in completing tasks that they may be hesitant to do due to a history of failure.
