Asking for help isn’t always easy. If you’re stuck, struggling to move past challenging emotions or life changes, or are having trouble in your relationships, counseling may be right for you. I am a licensed and board certified counselor who is experienced in working with children and adults in school, clinic, and hospital settings. I view counseling as a collaborative journey in which the counselor and client work together to build a relationship of trust and understanding so that we can effectively determine strengths and support systems as well as areas for growth, establish goals, and work towards mental health stabilization. The counseling process varies for every client who walks through the door. Pulling from many different theories, techniques, and interventions, my approach is often eclectic, changing based on the needs of each individual client, helping them to build awareness, process emotions, and learn coping skills. I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive and succeed. Counseling can help you realize and cultivate your personal strengths and skills while integrating them into everyday life. If what you’ve been trying isn’t working, you are not alone. I am currently taking new clients on a limited basis.
