I am a hope focused and future oriented therapist. I treat therapy like ordering an Uber or Lyft. You tell the driver the final destination before they figure out the route. Therapy is the same, in that, I work to understand your desired outcomes for when therapy is over before we do anything else. In essence, we work backwards from what your preferred future is.
