Therapist Overview

I often hear clients say that they feel “stuck”. Traumatic or stressful experiences become stuck in our physical bodies and impact our overall functioning and well-being. My approach acknowledges this impact and empowers clients to increase awareness of the mind-body connection to learn how to shift your internal experience and release emotions connected to past traumatic experiences from the body. Clients are often aware of the patterns that are keeping them stuck and have developed coping abilities to manage symptoms and reach their goals. The next step is to release this “stuck-ness” from the body and to live authentically. My main modality is EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In addition to EMDR, I incorporate a variety of interventions based on the individual client and their needs, strengths, and goals.
