I am a seasoned clinical psychologist with close to thirty years of experience working with individuals beset by depressive and anxious states (which, though common, are nonetheless painful and often debilitating), as well as more severe, entrenched personality problems. My approach is exploratory and tactfully interpretive. I do not assume at the start of our treatment relationship that either one of us actually understands the nature and significance of the suffering with which we are confronted; these are factors that can reveal themselves over time, with the proper application of certain theories of unconscious mental life.
