Therapist Overview
I work with adolescents and adults, most are struggling to develop dynamic coping mechanisms for the anxiety or depression implicit to the demands of their lives and/or careers. My patients are racially, ethnically, socio-economically and sexually diverse. Not all of my patients are cis-gendered. I work w/athletes — high school, college, professional, and retired — writers, artists, doctors, investors, actors, university professors, corporate executives, lawyers, scientists, high school teachers, stand-up comedians, photographers, programmers, film directors, entertainment agents, talent managers, real estate brokers. I have particular expertise and experience in accurately diagnosing and working with complex comorbid behavioral and psychiatric disorders: manifestations of anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), bi-polar disorders and Borderline Personality Disorder. A professor said, “There are many different psychological languages and you never know which one your patient speaks so it’s a good idea to become fluent in as many languages as possible.” I try to follow that advice. I will listen, learn and ultimately speak your language. Then, when you no longer feel alone, I can be an ally that nurtures your growth.
