Carolyn Kay Holmes

As a former Director of Chemical Dependency, I love working with Substance Abusers who want to change their lives, and need support and guidance to do so. I have experience and compassion with Process addictions and Co-Dependency, also. I love working with Clients who are in life transitions (divorce, grief, empty nest, aging and spiritual concerns). As a former nurse in acute psych in-patient services, I am comfortable with treating depression, anxiety, and Bi-Polar illness. I deeply believe in relationships, but not in one person being sacrificed for the comfort of another. Respect, kindness, and communication are key I worked as an In-Patient Acute Psych Services RN for 12 years. I was the Director of a Drug Alcohol Treatment program for 10 years. My medical background has been invaluable in helping me work holistically with Body, Mind and Spirit. I am able to be gentle, compassionate, firm, and clear.. Grateful for four decades of experience doing this sacred work. We all need to be seen, heard, and respected. We all need others. Many of us have had experiences that made us doubt whether it is ever safe to trust. Some of us turned to chemicals or behaviors to numb our fear.
