I work with people who are struggling with such issues as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, sexuality, and alternative relationship structures. My personal belief that a therapist must start from a place of honesty and work with, not against clients. No matter what brings a client in to seek therapy, they are unhappy and need a judgement free space to unpack their burdens and to have someone who is there for them. I place a high value on client’s personal history and the strengths that they bring to the table. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, personality disorders and substance and alcohol misuse disorders. My style of therapy draws from Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. My passion is for learning your story, and working alongside you to find effective solutions. In my extensive experience working with trauma I’ve learned that we often need the reminder – no matter what you have struggled with; you are a survivor. Keeping that in mind, I am guided by the client towards the goals that they feel are necessary for their treatment.
