I enjoy working with individuals struggling with various stressors or challenges in life, whether it is mental health or substance challenges. In our sessions, individuals experience a safe, supportive and non-judgmental relationship. I enjoy working with each person to develop self-awareness of their strengths, challenges so they can develop coping skills where necessary. With my counseling approach, I regularly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have a broad range of experience in human services, working with Individuals with challenges with TBI, drug and alcohol, severe and persistent mental health, autism and intellectual disabilities. On a personal note, I am the parent of a son with autism. I understand from a personal-family journey the joys and challenges of raising a child on the spectrum.
