Therapist Overview

We have all experienced various levels of loss, harm or violation in our lives and this will have an effect on us. Are you experiencing disordered eating; unwanted sexual behavior; depression, anxiety, anger or turning to substances for relief? Often people feel a pain inside they are unable to understand or articulate. Perhaps you’re frustrated and beginning to feel hopeless or helpless to change. Transformation and change is possible but it is a process, not an event. Research shows that finding the right “fit” in a therapist is one of the most important factors in having a transformative experience in therapy. It is an honor to enter the places, stories and experiences with you to uncover how it is you have come to be where and who you are today and address your presenting concerns. I work with and alongside adults and families to promote healing and growth in their lives—in relationship to themselves and others. I take a developmental and holistic approach grounded in attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology and narrative therapy. We are complex beings and I incorporate a variety of therapeutic interventions as appropriate including EMDR, mindfulness, cbt, cprt (child-parent relationship therapy) and play therapy. Phone consultations are free.
